Crypto Infrastructure

Infrastructure hiring is about uptime, keys and blast radius. We run permanent searches across node and validator operations, custody, wallets and exchange infrastructure, including the operational, compliance-adjacent and leadership roles alongside engineering.

What this covers

  • · Node and validator engineering and operations
  • · Custody, key management and signing infrastructure
  • · Wallet engineering, from key handling to product surface
  • · Exchange infrastructure, matching, settlement and reliability

Roles we search for

  • · Infrastructure / SRE Engineer for chain infrastructure
  • · Validator Operations Engineer
  • · Custody or Key Management Engineer
  • · Wallet Engineer (mobile, web, embedded)
  • · Exchange Platform Engineer
  • · Head of Infrastructure or VP Engineering
  • · Technical Operations Lead

What the brief covers

  • · Which chains and which client software the role runs
  • · Uptime and slashing exposure the role carries
  • · Key custody model and the controls around access
  • · On-call rotation, incident volume and escalation
  • · Regulated environment constraints, where they apply

What we ask candidates for, according to the role

  • · Engineering and operations: scale run in production, such as nodes, chains, stake or request volume
  • · Engineering and operations: a real incident, its cause and the change made afterwards, and how they handle an upgrade with a hard fork deadline
  • · Custody and key handling: their approach to key access and separation of duties
  • · Technical operations: the rota, runbooks and escalation they owned, and how they improved them
  • · Product: a decision about what a wallet or platform surface would do, and the trade-off it carried
  • · Leadership: their remit, how they staff and pay for out-of-hours cover, and how they report reliability

Things worth knowing before you start

  • · Confirm the on-call rota, out-of-hours expectations and how cover is paid
  • · Confirm any regulated-environment requirement in the brief before sourcing
  • · Agree any timezone or location requirement explicitly, rather than implying it

Questions we are asked

Do you cover operations as well as engineering?
Yes. Technical operations, reliability and infrastructure leadership are all in scope.
Can a role be fully remote?
Where the employer confirms it, yes. Vacancy pages state the arrangement and, for remote roles, which countries applications are accepted from.
How are fees structured?
By written agreement per search, with the basis, milestones and any replacement period set out before work starts.
