Quant & Trading
Trading hires are assessed on process and constraints, not on a headline number. We run permanent searches for quantitative researchers, systematic traders, trading infrastructure engineers and the desk and risk leadership around them.
What this covers
- · Quantitative research and signal development
- · Systematic and discretionary trading in digital assets
- · Low-latency trading infrastructure and execution
- · Risk, treasury and trading operations, plus desk leadership
Roles we search for
- · Quantitative Researcher
- · Systematic or Market Making Trader
- · Trading Infrastructure / Low Latency Engineer
- · Execution Engineer
- · Head of Trading or Desk Lead
- · Risk Manager, digital assets
- · Trading Operations Lead
What the brief covers
- · Strategy family, venues and instruments in scope
- · Capital and risk limits the role is trusted with
- · Data and infrastructure the hire inherits
- · How performance is measured and paid, in writing
- · Whether research and execution are the same job
What we ask candidates for, according to the role
- · Research and trading: how they build and retire a signal, described as a process
- · Research and trading: the constraints they traded inside, such as capital, latency, venues and fees, and a strategy that stopped working
- · Engineering: an execution or latency problem they owned, and how they measured the change
- · Risk: their approach to limits under stress, and what they escalated
- · Trading operations: the reconciliation, settlement or venue processes they owned
- · Leadership: their remit, how they allocate capital across researchers, and how they pay for performance
Things worth knowing before you start
- · Confirm what performance evidence is acceptable, since results are usually confidential
- · Agree the full compensation structure in writing, including how performance is paid
- · Confirm notice periods, garden leave and any restrictive covenants early in the timeline
Questions we are asked
- Do you ask candidates for confidential performance figures?
- No. We ask about process and constraints, and record only what a candidate is willing to share.
- Do you cover risk and operations?
- Yes, alongside research, trading and engineering roles.
- Is compensation data available?
- We do not publish salary market data. Any figure in an introduction is that candidate's own stated expectation.
